i take every opportunity i can get to gloat that i was among the first to know about carson & karen’s much anticipated engagement.
i got a message that said, “you’re definitely the first thing that came out of both of our mouths after he popped the question.” yeah, my heart swelled big time. carson is an old friend of my brother-in-law’s and karen is the genius who designed all of my branding. they were my first blog post on this site almost exactly a year ago so it is only fitting that i’m kicking off 2011 with their engagement photos! karen’s cutey daughter ella joined us for a few photos but then promptly fell asleep in the car where it was warm 
thank you both for sharing your adorable love with my camera. i cannot wait for your july wedding!
